TARs is a politically conservative organization of teenagers age 12 to 18 that meets once a month. During each monthly meeting a variety of topics are discussed, the exact nature of which largely depending on the political speaker of the night.

Each meeting the executive concil invites a local political speaker to talk about current issues. Also, more than one speaker is always welcome. Recent speakers include: Congressman Todd Platts, the candidates for County Commissioner, and Rick Santorum.

The members of TARs are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they wish at each meeting. The more participation, however, the more fun a member usually has.

TARs is here because the future politians and voters need an avenue with which to talk to and get information about what it is like to work for the congress at the state or national level, be a county commissioner, or even the county coroner.

The experiences gathered along a membership with TARs are priceless. If you know someone that meets the age requirements and has any interest in politics at all, give them anyone's address on the contact list through email, the phone, or over dinner and we would be glad to give them more information.
